I am aiming to maximize my land for farming while also prioritizing the harvesting of solar energy. Initially, I considered installing solar panels on the roof, but concerns about potential water leaks and maintenance challenges led me to explore alternative options. After careful consideration, I have decided to pursue a ground-mounted solar panel system and explore additional uses for the land beneath it, similar to the concepts demonstrated in the following videos.

Energy Storage System

I’m keen on installing a cutting-edge battery storage system from either Tesla or LG Energy Solutions for my future home.

The concept of selling surplus solar energy during the day only to buy it back at night doesn’t sit well with me. While a 1:1 buy and sell ratio would be ideal, I’ve heard that the actual ratio is closer to 0.25:1, which simply doesn’t make much economic sense. Despite understanding the costs involved in managing and maintaining the grid, I believe this ratio is disproportionately high.

Therefore, I’m determined to take matters into my own hands by installing my own battery storage system. This decision not only aligns with my values but also ensures greater energy efficiency and independence for my household.

LG just came out with a stackable battery system which makes much more sense. They got my attention for sure.
